Reviving Patriotism: Why Faith and Community Matter in Today's Society

If you could go back in time and see why our founding fathers refused to be taxed unfairly by a government that didn’t really represent their values or interests, you'd witness the colonial people standing their ground. They fought for the right to live without fear from the oppression of an unjust government. They were patriots who created the greatest framework for a government in the history of the world.

The Decline of Patriotism and Faith

It’s a shame that patriotism and God are words that you are shamed for using in public today. In today’s society, good is bad and bad is good. God is bad, and the devil has his own series on TV! It’s time to wake up and take back our country from the manipulative evil that has gained so much ground while we were lulled to sleep by their slow brainwashing through media and movies and television.

Media Influence and Changing Values

They have changed our values by slowly introducing more and more evil and violent things until we don’t view them as bad anymore, and they seem normal now. We are all afraid of each other because we have been brainwashed into believing we are all out to get each other. They try to convince us that the other guy has more than we do and that we deserve more for nothing.

Returning to Traditional Values

We need to go back to a time when our values came from a higher authority—God, who gave us a guidebook to follow so that we can all live together without the fear of evil things happening. Faith and patriotism are words that describe good, honest, hard-working Americans who would die for our freedom and have died for it.

Childhood Memories of Patriotism

When I was a kid growing up in western New York, I could feel the patriotism at our local parade. Everyone had flags flying, and we were all neighborly to one another. A band would be playing on a float while marching military and civilian groups proudly wore their uniforms as a badge of honor. All of the firemen and police officers would wear their dress uniforms, sirens would blast, and the kids would be catching candy thrown from the colorful floats.

Community and Connection

As we walked through town and along Main Street, people would greet my parents and genuinely ask how they were doing, sharing good will. We always had a picnic get-together, and the whole town gathered at the park for the annual fireworks show. It was a time when we were proud of our government and loved our country. I think we should get back to that time when our neighbors were not strangers but friends that we created a community with—people who helped raise our children, and we helped them raise theirs.

Building a Better Future

We really need to get back to a time when purity is good, and kindness and compassion are good things in society. If we want this generation to be better and happier, we have to teach them to be patriotic and have faith.

Have a great Independence Day and wish one to your neighbor!
